MISSION BAY LOOKS

I picked some favorites from my files that I’l like to share.

My attachment to Mission Bay, the dry docks and the very heavy industry in this area has been a magnet for me since 2000.  I went back often and am still inspired by the workaday environment, even as it is swallowed up by development and transformation into a mostly gentrified mixed “updated neighborhood”.

I like the feel of the past in that location, and wish now that I had spent even more time there. There are contrasts, forms, and so many comparisons that will never again occur in this way. Time moves everything along and brings change.
